Order Statuses Defined

What Status is your order in, and what does each Status mean?

Updated over 4 months ago

Orders processed by Coldcart's system are immediately assigned a status, and that status will update as an order moves along it's fulfillment journey. Below are the various statuses you may see assigned to your order:

  • New = Order data is being ingested.

  • Fulfilling = Order data has been processed and both a picklist and shipping label have been produced.

  • Shipped = This order has been marked as in transit either by the warehouse team fulfilling the order or the carrier scanning the shipping label.

  • Invalid = Incorrect data input has caused the order to be incapable of fulfilling. Examples include containing a SKU our system doesn't recognize or a zip code that is 3 digits too long.

  • Delivered = Order has made it to it's destination.

  • Error = Either a Coldcart engine error occurred (like an API call not successfully generating a shipping label) or an error reported by the carrier ("Shipment XYZ the package has been damaged. all merchandise has been discarded and the sender will be notified").

  • Cancelled = Order has been cancelled in the Coldcart portal. The most common reason orders will be in cancelled status is when they are reprocessed. When an order is reprocessed the original Coldcart order is cancelled and a new one is created.

  • DamagedLost = Order has been marked Damaged/Lost either by a user in the Coldcart portal or by the carrier directly.
