As outlined in our Help Center, you have the ability to enforce Rules in our system that impact an enormous variety of shipping parameters including allowable time in transit, how many gel packs to put in a box and which carrier to assign orders to an order (to name a few).
When you have a rule you'd like applied to every shipment Coldcart processes, use the If = true advanced feature outlined below.
To begin, follow the steps to create a rule by clicking Rules from the lefthand sidebar of our Dashboard. Then from the available headers, select which type of Rule you want to enforce, and click the Create a Rule button. In this example, we'll create the Order Pre-Processing rule that we want every shipment Coldcart processes to increase allowable time in transit from 2 days maximum (our default setting) to 3 days maximum time in transit:
In the resulting righthand sidebar, toggle the Advanced button in the upper right corner:
Under the Lambda Expression field, simply enter the value "true". Proceed to enter the values under Assign as you would any rule, then click the Create Rule button to finalize setup:
You've now created a rule that If = true (essentially "If an order exists"), allow maximum time in transit to be 3 days.
For every order our system processes, it will now consider service levels with an estimated 3 days time in transit in our decisioning to assign service levels and carriers to your shipments:
Note: as always, you can delete any rule you've created by clicking it from the list of active rules on our Rules page and clicking the Delete button:
