Carrier Overrides Rules: An Overview

Use Coldcart's Carrier Overrides rules to dictate how and with which carrier an order ships

Updated over 11 months ago

When assigning your order to a carrier, Coldcart's system will pool from the available options assigned to your account and warehouse(s)/FCs. Our system is designed to select the most cost effective option available to deliver your order within your allowable time in transit.

Note: reach out to a Coldcart Support if you need clarification on which carriers and service levels are available for your profile.

To force a specific carrier or service level, navigate to Rules, click Carrier Overrides, then click the Create a Rule button:

Following "If..." on the resulting righthand sidebar, you'll see three parameters our system will ask you to provide for your rule to be enforced:

Once you've defined these, scroll below Assign to tell our system what you'd like enforced. Click Create Rule to finalize setup:

In the above example, we've created the rule, "If an order is shipping in a box that is heavier than 15 lb, force the carrier to be UPS".
