Order Pre-Processing Rules: An Overview

Use Coldcart's order pre-processing rules for any conditions you want applied before an order is being processed by Coldcart

Updated over 11 months ago

Navigate to Rules, select Order Pre-Processing from the headers and click the Create a Rule button:

As always, provide the requested info in the three fields following "If..." to tell our system what parameters need to be considered for your rule:

Next, scroll down to Assign to tell our system what to do when these parameters apply (i.e. If... the Assign...):

Click the Create Rule button to finalize setup of this rule.

Using the above example, this rule is telling our system "If any customer order includes the SKU 'PIZZA_ORIGINAL,' ship from the Wheeling, IL warehouse."

A practical application of the preceding rule would be if you had multiple lots of PIZZA_ORIGINAL in various warehouses, but knew Wheeling had your oldest lot (soon to expire). Applying a rule like the above would ensure you sell through your oldest lot from Wheeling first. Further, you could simply delete the rule later to reinstate shipping PIZZA_ORIGINAL from any available warehouse.
