Holiday Closures

Coldcart and the 3PLs (Fulfillment Centers) in our network follow the lead of national carriers UPS & FedEx when it comes to holiday closures. Holidays that impact normally scheduled shipping days in 2025 are:

If your normally scheduled Wave Summaries fall on a shipping holiday, or on the days preceding a shipping holiday, you can update your wave summary schedule to skip these shipping days.

We advise all Coldcart customers to update your shipping schedules and alert your customers about any delays in advance of these holidays.

Note: for holidays that fall on Tuesdays - Fridays, you may want to also prevent orders from shipping in the days prior, since the carriers will hold shipments over their closed holidays, delaying all deliveries by 1 day. For example, since carriers do not ship on the Thursday of Thanksgiving, you may want to also avoid shipping on the Tuesday or Wednesday before Thanksgiving, since orders will still be in transit over the holiday and will be delayed by 1 day.

In the "Schedules" Section, click into any Wave Summary Schedule that is set up to ship on the days in the following week that you want to skip:

Once you've clicked into the wave summary you want to modify, unclick the day(s) of the week you want to avoid shipping on, and click "Save":

Note: best practice is to make this change just prior to the holiday week in question so as to not disrupt earlier shipments.

Once the holiday in question has passed, use the same process to add back in the normal shipping days to your wave summaries.

If there are any shipping exceptions that fall outside of the above 2025 dates, a Coldcart representative will reach out in advance to help with planning.
